Unlike a conventional sliding system, the pocket has to be anticipated from the design stage of the building: a pocket casing is built into the structural works or the partition to house the leaf when open. Although the leaf slides into the wall, the Comfort Plus pocket system retains air and water tightness comparable to a conventional sliding system, thanks to brush seals and perimeter EPDM gaskets. Reinforced tracks and ball-bearing rollers guarantee smooth operation even for large, heavy leaves.
